Fast-food shop goes upscale with foie gras burger

FUKUOKA -- A fast-food shop here has taken the humble hamburger to culinary heights with the introduction of the foie gras burger.
The foie gras burger sells for 1,350, 1,400 or 1,450 yen at the "Classic Burger" shop in Fukuoka's Hakata-ku.
The 27-year-old manager of the shop developed the idea to attract more customers to the local shopping area.
An official of the shop said that the foie gras burger tastes best when eaten hot. (Mainichi)
